A startup tech company in Florida wanted to effectively onboard its first two employees who would be working remotely in different states. What documents would be needed? What employment policies should be in effect? How would all of this information be communicated to the employees?
The HR Development team created an Employee Handbook and developed an onboarding package tailored to the client’s needs and state specific requirements. On their first day of work, the new employees spoke with an HR Advisor on the Advantage Employment team. The advisor reviewed the employment policies in the new handbook, and walked them through completion of all other employment paperwork including tax forms, the I-9 Form, an employment application, and other company specific documents. The employer felt comfortable knowing that the new employees were brought in to the company in a well-organized, compliant manner, and that the future roadmap of the employment relationship had not only been documented, but explained to the new employees as well. The employees felt well taken care of by their new employer. They were able to hit the ground running, and quickly focus on their primary job responsibilities, and with each of them awarded six figure salaries, that was mission critical.
